The most delicious snack in the world.
Do you work for Hormel Foods? Read our letter.
PB Crisps were an utterly delectable mid-90s snack food. After being discontinued for many years, there still isn't a comparable snack. Because these snacks were one-of-a-kind, PB Crisp lovers are urging Planters to bring them back.
To prove that PB Crisps are not a myth, here are actual photos of the heavenly snack.
Photo credit goes to Jason Liebig who uncovered 3 bags of PB Crisps in 2011, and to Dinosaur Dracula who discovered a pouch in 2015. Those guys were so lucky.
Why on earth would you discontinue these?!

Hello there!
I'm the PB Crisps Fanatic writing on behalf of the Bring Back PB Crisps movement, a group of peaceful protesters that want to see the return of a 90s classic, PB Crisps.
Some time ago, Planters discontinued the PB Crisps snack lineup. Today, there is a large, cult-like following of folks around the USA who want to buy these again. With a little research, you can see that there is enough interest around the web to merit starting a PB Crisps relaunch. At the very least, in small batches or seasonal batches. Relaunching 90s snacks is trending.
There is discussion about PB Crisps on social media, every day. Many influencers and celebrities have brought attention to the movement. Posts have even gone viral. If you would like a detailed stats breakdown, I can provide it upon request.
Hormel, I was thrilled to hear about your purchase of Planters. Since you're already in the market of producing peanut butter snacks with Skippy Bites, PB Crisps could be right in your ballpark. As manager of the Bring Back PB Crisps movement, I can provide services (packaging design, accurate taste testing, group marketing, and general consulting) to help assist you in a relaunch.
Please contact to discuss further.
Sincerely,
Fanatic
Here is a list of resources from around the web that proves people still want the PB Crisps snack. I update it periodically.
In September 2021, YouTube celebrity LA Beast received a vintage bag of PB&J Crisps. He sampled the fine specimens, then kindly endorsed this movement.

"I'm only crazy about a taste that was destined for fame."
"It should be obvious. But I want nothing but the best when it comes to my snackage."
"Buy about 40 bags and throw a party. You're invited."
"Priceless of course. I really hope they're $5 or less per bag so that many people can purchase and enjoy them!"
"Everyone likes memes, right?"
"No doubt."
Now, let's take a moment to hear a message from another PB Crisp lover, Rewind Wesley
Amazing, high quality artwork that is free to use for all purposes.
In early 2018, Planters launched a snack called Planters Crunchers. When I encountered these at my local grocery store, I was in awe. I thought that I was looking at a second incantation of the glorious PB Crisp. For a short moment, everything in my world was right again.
That moment ended as soon as I opened the bag.
I had exactly two Crunchers before throwing the bag away. The snack itself was crunchy, but mediocre at best. I tasted too much of a potato-ey flavor. Do not let your guard down and bite into one these while thinking about PB Crisps!
However, there is one thing I really love about Planters Crunchers! Planters managed to get them 165+ reviews and a 4.5 star rating. This is great news. Let's get those PR folks working on PB Crisps, a snack that thousands of people have said that they want to eat.

Oh the horror! Kale Dusted Nuts were actually suggested!
In this section, I briefly discuss products that Planters chose to produce instead of PB Crisps.
Then, I conjure up a theory as to why.
Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Mix
Maybe it's cheaper to coat a raisin with graham than it is to produce a delectable graham cracker cookie? It is also possible that a group of people got together and said "Oatmeal flavor covered raisins would be so good... let's call a snack company like Planters and nag them to make it!". Either way, I can't really tell who's the target audience for this concoction.
Drizzle Cashews
Planters played this one safe by slapping on a "Limited Edition" headline. I think that was a good idea. Most companies have some sort of informal outing, which typically involve a restaurant like TGI Friday's where employees are treated to free alcoholic beverages. My intuition tells me that Drizzle Cashews were the result of one of these outings.
Craft Bar Mix
Planters made a snack in the mid 90's that I would consider to be both craft and artisan. Maybe this snack is for trendy or themed bars? I don't know. These are a Canadian snack, so my guess is that Planters is trying to get friendly with Canada before introducing them to PB Crisps.
Natural Light Flavored Peanuts
This is a real head scratcher. Natty Light? I'm guessing one of the liquor stores near Planters was going out of business and 2 palettes of Natty Light were all that was left. Maybe the R&D guys had a very tight deadline to come up with something new.
Blueberry Muffin Breakfast Blends
This happens to be the most promising snack I've seen Planters launch since the Crisps. Take a close look at the ingredients. Yep, "Graham Cookies". I hope this graham cookie is a beta test for bigger ideas.
The old adage "Give the people what they want." goes a long way.
